STROZZI-DONI

The suite is inspired by the pair of paintings painted by Raphael for the two newlyweds, sons of prominent Florentine families, that sit, above a pair of early 20th-century furniture, on either side of the fireplace-TV. It is a huge room, characterized by ivory, green and gold, alternating and overlapping. On the opposite wall a pair of large plates of Faenza pottery. Under the window overlooking a small inner courtyard is a green velvet sofa. Again, white linen curtains and geometrically decorated wooden beam ceiling. The small bathroom has a window and houses a washbasin, toilet and shower. The kitchenette also includes an oven.

Via del Banco di S. Spirito 21 Roma

Difficult to stay in an area richer in monuments and sites: in front of Castel S.Angelo, leaving the residence (3′). The imposing “Palazzaccio,” now the Court of Cassation (5′), St. Peter’s (10′), Piazza Navona (5′) and Campo dei Fiori (7′) are really just a stone’s throw away. The Trevi Fountain (20′), Spanish Steps (25′) or Trastevere (30′) are not far away.
