Colle Oppio Park – via della Domus aurea, 1 – 00184 Roma
I want to say a few words about this small kiosk in the Colle Oppio Park. The bar itself is nothing special, but it is run by an elderly lady and a polite and discreet black assistant. We have been frequenting this small bar for many years, on Sunday mornings on sunny winter days and on late summer afternoons for an evening aperitif.
The prosecco is of excellent quality accompanied by the inevitable bag of chips. Here you can breathe a magical atmosphere with a view of the Colosseum and elegant Art Nouveau buildings in the background. It seems like a picture of Rome disappeared with people, many foreigners, calm and serene and children playing football in complete freedom without the nagging control of their parents.
